Track your profit and loss across all your trading activity on Opinio.

Understanding P&L

P&L (Profit and Loss) shows how much you've made or lost from your trading.

Unrealized P&L

For open positions:

Unrealized P&L = Current Value - Amount Invested

This changes as market prices move.

Realized P&L

For closed positions:

Realized P&L = Payout Received - Amount Invested

This is locked in when markets resolve.

P&L Display

Summary Cards

The Portfolio shows total P&L:

• Dollar amount - Absolute gain/loss

• Percentage - Return on investment

• Color - Green for profit, red for loss

• Icon - Trending up or down arrow

Per-Position P&L

Each position shows individual performance:

• Dollars gained or lost

• Percentage return

• Based on current market prices

P&L Calculations

Simple Example

Investment: $100 in YES at $0.60
Votes received: 166.67

If current YES price = $0.70:
Current value = 166.67 × $0.70 = $116.67
Unrealized P&L = $116.67 - $100 = +$16.67 (+16.7%)

If market resolves YES:
Payout = 166.67 × $1.00 = $166.67
Realized P&L = $166.67 - $100 = +$66.67 (+66.7%)

If market resolves NO:
Payout = $0
Realized P&L = $0 - $100 = -$100 (-100%)

With Fees

Trading fees affect your actual P&L:

Gross investment: $100
Fee (1%): $1
Net invested: $99 (goes to market)

Transaction History

The Transaction History tab provides a detailed record:

Displayed Information

• Type - BUY or SELL

• Market - Which prediction market

• Side - YES or NO

• Amount - USD value of trade

• Votes - Number of votes traded

• Price - Price per vote

• Transaction - On-chain reference

Filtering History

• All transactions are listed chronologically

• Newest first

• Scroll to see older transactions

Tracking Performance Over Time

Total Returns

Sum of all:

• Resolved winning positions

• Resolved losing positions

• Current unrealized positions

Win Rate

Track what percentage of your positions resolve in your favor:

Win Rate = Winning Positions ÷ Total Resolved Positions

Average Return

Calculate your average return per trade:

Avg Return = Total P&L ÷ Number of Trades

Creator Earnings

If you've created markets, track earnings separately:

• Total Earned - All-time creator fees

• Per Market - Earnings breakdown by market

• Volume - Trading volume on your markets

Creator fees are 0.25% of volume on markets you created.

Referral Earnings

Track income from your referrals:

• Fee Share - 10% of USDC fees from referrals

• Points Share - 10% of points earned by referrals

• Total Earnings - Combined referral income

Exporting Data

While there's no built-in export, you can:

• Screenshot your transaction history

• Copy transaction hashes for records

• Use block explorers for complete data

Tax Considerations

Track P&L for tax purposes:

• Record all trades with dates and amounts

• Note realized gains/losses

• Keep deposit and withdrawal records

• Consult a tax professional
