Monitoring Your Positions

Price Changes

Position values change as the market moves:

  • If you hold YES and YES price goes up, your value increases

  • If you hold YES and YES price goes down, your value decreases

Approaching Resolution

Watch for markets nearing their end time:

  • The time remaining badge shows urgency

  • Prices often become volatile near resolution

  • Decide whether to hold or sell before resolution

News and Events

Stay informed about events affecting your markets:

  • Price can move quickly on news

  • Set alerts if available

  • Check regularly for developments

When to Take Action

Consider Selling When

  • You've hit your profit target

  • News suggests you're wrong

  • Risk/reward has changed

  • You need the capital elsewhere

Consider Holding When

  • Your thesis remains valid

  • Price drop is emotional, not fundamental

  • Resolution is imminent and you're confident

  • P&L percentage is minimal

Consider Adding When

  • Price moved against you but thesis is stronger

  • You're underexposed to a high-conviction bet

  • The market offers better risk/reward than before

Position Sizing Best Practices

Diversification

  • Don't put all funds in one market

  • Spread across different categories

  • Vary your timeframes

Risk Management

  • Never bet more than you can lose

  • Size positions based on conviction

  • Keep reserves for opportunities

Review Regularly

  • Check positions at least daily

  • Reassess thesis when prices move significantly

  • Adjust based on new information

Closed Positions

Once a market resolves:

  • Position moves from Active to History

  • Final P&L is locked in

  • Winnings (or losses) reflected in balance
