General

What is Opinio?

Opinio is a prediction market platform where you can trade on the outcomes of real-world events. Buy YES if you think something will happen, or NO if you think it won't. When the market resolves, winning positions pay out.

How is Opinio different from betting?

Unlike traditional betting:

• You can sell positions anytime before resolution

• Prices change based on market sentiment

• No bookmaker - prices are market-driven

• You earn points and can participate in rewards programs

Is Opinio legal?

Prediction markets operate in a complex regulatory environment. Please check your local laws regarding participation in prediction markets. Opinio is not available in all jurisdictions.

What currencies are used?

All trading and balances on Opinio are in USDC (USD Coin). When you deposit other tokens, they're automatically converted to USDC.

Account & Wallet

How do I create an account?

Simply connect your crypto wallet. Your account is automatically created on first connection. No email, password, or personal information required.

Which wallets are supported?

EVM Wallets: MetaMask, Coinbase Wallet, WalletConnect, Rainbow, and more. Solana Wallets: Phantom, Solflare, Backpack, and more.

Can I use multiple wallets?

Each wallet creates a separate account. To use the same account, connect with the same wallet address.

How do I disconnect my wallet?

Click on your wallet address in the navigation bar and select "Disconnect."

Is my wallet safe?

Opinio never asks for your seed phrase or private keys. We only request signature authentication to verify wallet ownership. Always verify you're on the official Opinio site.

Deposits & Withdrawals

How do I deposit funds?

Go to Portfolio → Deposit. Choose from:

1. Cross-Chain - Bridge from any EVM chain

2. Solana Swap - Swap any Solana token

3. Direct USDC - Send USDC on Solana directly

What's the minimum deposit?

There's no strict minimum, but very small deposits may have high relative network fees. We recommend at least $10-20.

How do I withdraw?

Go to Portfolio → Withdraw. Enter the amount and your Solana wallet address. Minimum withdrawal is $10.

How long do withdrawals take?

Most withdrawals process within minutes. Large amounts may require additional verification.

Are there fees for deposits/withdrawals?

Opinio doesn't charge deposit or withdrawal fees. You only pay network/bridge fees for the blockchain transactions.

My deposit isn't showing. What do I do?

1. Wait a few minutes (cross-chain can take 5+ minutes)

2. Check the transaction on a block explorer

3. Refresh the page

4. Contact support if still missing after 1 hour

Trading

How do I place a trade?

1. Go to any market page

2. Select YES or NO

3. Enter your amount

4. Review the quote

5. Click Buy

What's the trading fee?

There's a 1% fee on all trades. If you were referred, you get a 10% discount (0.9% effective fee).

Can I sell before the market resolves?

Yes! You can sell your positions anytime the market is open. This lets you take profits early or cut losses.

What happens if I'm wrong?

If the market resolves against your position, you lose your investment. Each losing vote is worth $0.

What happens if I'm right?

Each winning vote pays out $1 when the market resolves. Your profits depend on your purchase price.

How are prices determined?

Opinio uses parimutuel pricing. Prices reflect the proportion of money on each side. More money on YES = higher YES price.

What types of markets are available?

Markets span categories including:

How do markets resolve?

When a market ends, the creator or Opinio team determines the outcome based on the stated resolution criteria and official sources. Winning positions then pay out.

Can I create my own markets?

Yes! Navigate to the Create page, fill out the market details, and submit. You'll earn 0.25% of all trading volume on markets you create.

What makes a good market?

• Clear, unambiguous question

• Verifiable outcome

• Specific timeframe

• Reliable resolution sources

Points & Rewards

How do I earn points?

• Trading: 1 point per $1 traded

• Deposits: 1 point per $1 deposited

• Referrals: 10% of your referrals' points

All base rates are multiplied by your volume tier.

What are volume tiers?

Based on your total trading volume:

• Bronze ($0+): 1.0x multiplier

• Silver ($100+): 1.25x multiplier

• Gold ($1,000+): 1.5x multiplier

• Diamond ($10,000+): 2.0x multiplier

What are points worth?

Points may convert to rewards in future airdrops. However, there's no guaranteed value - points are a way to track your engagement with the platform.

Do I lose points if I lose a trade?

No. Points are earned on trading volume regardless of whether you win or lose.

How do I unlock my referral code?

Deposit $10 or more to unlock your referral code.

What do I earn from referrals?

• 10% of their trading fees (forever)

• 10% of their points (forever)

What do my referrals get?

They receive a permanent 10% discount on trading fees.

How do I share my code?

Go to Portfolio, find your referral code, and click "Copy Referral Link." Share it anywhere!
