Depositing Funds

This guide walks you through all the ways to add USDC to your Opinio account.

Opening the Deposit Modal

1. Navigate to your Portfolio page

2. Click the Deposit button

3. The deposit modal opens with method selection

Choosing Your Deposit Method

You'll see three options:

1. Cross-Chain (LI.FI Bridge)

Best for: Users with tokens on Ethereum, Arbitrum, Base, Polygon, or other EVM chains

This method:

• Bridges your tokens across chains

• Automatically converts to Solana USDC

• Uses LI.FI for best rates and routes

2. Solana Swap (Jupiter)

Best for: Users holding SOL, BONK, JUP, or other Solana tokens

This method:

• Swaps any Solana token to USDC

• Uses Jupiter aggregator for best rates

• Fast (typically under 30 seconds)

3. Direct USDC

Best for: Users who already have USDC on Solana

This method:

• Simplest option - just send USDC

• No swap fees

• Instant once transaction confirms

Using Cross-Chain Deposits

1. Select Cross-Chain from the deposit options

2. The LI.FI widget opens

3. Select your source chain (Ethereum, Arbitrum, etc.)

4. Choose your source token

5. Enter the amount to bridge

6. Review the quote and fees

7. Approve and execute the transaction

8. Wait for bridging to complete (2-5 minutes)

Your balance updates automatically when the bridge completes.

Using Solana Swap

1. Select Solana Swap from the deposit options

2. Connect your Solana wallet if not already connected

3. Choose the token you want to swap from

4. Enter the amount

5. Review the Jupiter swap quote

6. Approve and execute the swap

7. Your balance updates within seconds

Jupiter Features

• Best price across all Solana DEXs

• Minimal slippage

• Transaction simulation before execution

Using Direct USDC

1. Select Direct USDC from the deposit options

2. Copy the platform's deposit address

3. Send USDC from your Solana wallet to this address

4. Wait for transaction confirmation

5. Your balance updates automatically

Important: Only send USDC (SPL token on Solana). Other tokens will not be credited.

Deposit Verification

After any deposit:

1. Transaction is detected on-chain

2. Amount is verified

3. Your balance is credited

4. You receive a confirmation notification

Verification typically takes:

• Direct USDC: ~30 seconds

• Solana Swap: ~30 seconds

• Cross-Chain: 2-5 minutes

Deposit History

Track all your deposits in the History tab of the deposit modal:

• Amount deposited

• Source chain

• Transaction hash

• Status (Pending, Approved, Rejected)

• Date and time

Troubleshooting Deposits

Deposit Not Showing

1. Wait a few minutes - Some transactions take time

2. Check transaction status - Verify on block explorer

3. Refresh the page - Sometimes UI needs a refresh

4. Check deposit history - It might be pending verification

Bridge Transaction Stuck

Cross-chain bridges can sometimes be slow:

• Check LI.FI explorer for your transaction

• Most delays are resolved within 30 minutes

• Contact support if stuck longer than 1 hour

Wrong Token Sent

If you accidentally sent the wrong token:

• Contact support immediately

• Provide your wallet address and transaction hash

• Recovery may or may not be possible depending on the token

Tips for Smooth Deposits

1. Start small - Test with a small amount first

2. Check gas fees - Network fees vary by chain and time

3. Verify addresses - Double-check before sending

4. Keep records - Save transaction hashes for reference
